USAB announces 14U National Team
Final 18-man roster will travel to Venezuela, Aug. 11-22
 
 
Following a four-day trials and training evaluation period, USA Baseball has announced the names of the 18 players who will make up the 2011 14U National Team. The club travel to San Felipe, Venezuela, to compete in the COPABE Pan Am ‘A’/14U Championships, Aug. 11-22.The 14U team will compete in two Red vs. Blue intra-squad scrimmages, Aug.6-7, before it hosts two exhibition games against Charlotte’s Canes 15U team in Cary, Aug. 8-9. The 14U team will leave for Venezuela on Aug. 11, and will play its first game on Aug.12 against Brazil. Pool play will run from Aug.12-18, with the semifinals and finals being held on Aug.19 and 21, respectively.

California leads all states in players selected with six, followed by Georgia and Illinois with three apiece, Texas with two, and Pennsylvania, Florida, Oklahoma and South Carolina each with one.
